How green am I?

I will start to talk about what I know about recycle. All my life I grow up thinking in different ways to help the planet and the people who will live in the same place into 200 years after me hahaha It’s sound funny but is true. I think that is important because you have the possibility to do that. If you want change you have to do something. Many people comment about the high price of water and electricity bill but they don’t do anything about that. Some of them take long showers and turn on all the lights in their houses. A long time ago, when I was a child I decided don´t leave the waste material in the street and It was the first change in my life, then I decided don´t use plastic bags if I don´t need it, for example if I go to the supermarket I go with a special bag to avoid the plastic.

You can learn about environmentally practices in different places or with different people in your life. 2 weeks ago I learned about how to do “compost”. This is a special way to recycle where you can add organic rubbish, paper, soil, roots, etc. I had never heard about that and a friend explained to me. Now I would like to do that but I need to make the container because but it is expensive maybe $90.000.

I had always thought to be in an eco-organizations like green peace but I discovered something that I don´t like and It is if you want to join you have to pay some money and I´m not sure because I don´t know if I will have money the next month. But if you have money… do that! Because I think this is a beautiful opportunity to contribute with the planet, earth and people.

A summary of an article

For this summary I choose this article http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2012/dec/28/russia-ban-us-adoption-children-rights because I'm interested in the rights of children. Why? Because I think that is a vulnerable group of people. 

Many people in the world try to do things in damage to the children. I don't understand that because we can respect them and give a good life. For example: with a well adoption and parents.

The article talks about a Russia's ban on US adoption. This prohibition is due to American people adopt children from Russia, Romania or Ukraine because their intentions are adopt a baby and not a grow up child between five a sixteen years old like many of the children available for adoption in US. In addition, the children are black or Latino and the prospective parents don’t like that. And in the other hand the article says that a lot of children who traveled from US have never returned to their own country.

Other thing that appeared in the new is and older method to have children. It is the sale or traffic. An example of that is the discovered of a “Baby farm” in Nigeria where girls were prisoners to produce babies for sale. So the proper regulation is needed in all the world not only for Russia. Because the article says: there are many children susceptible to be adopted for a family from their same country. 

holiday

I love to travel at holidays because you can breathe a different air in other locations, enjoy with different activities, meet new people, etc. So I think that have vacations is important for all people in the world. All of them need a breathe once in a year and this isn't important only for you, it is important to your family and friends because you will be more relaxing and happy for the next period of the year or for begin a new year in the university or school.
I like to travel to the south of chile because my family are from Magallanes so, I have the opportunity to go there and not expend a lot of money. I would like to do the W tour in torres del Paine go through the national park. I stayed at this park many times with my family and friends but I never did that before because you need 4 days or more for do that.
Punta Arenas is my favorite place for vacations. I avoid the sun and I stay there for 2 o 3 month. This year I will travel to Punta Arenas but before I will go to Con-con and Temuco to see my grandmother and my grandfather. After that I will travel with my boyfriend to anywhere.
