English Languages Challenges

Hi everyone! This year was an English year for me because I started and finished a CORFO course and I had to take the fourth level of English in the university. We are there and this activity and blog is for that. So I needed to develop a lot of skills to improve my language knowledge. At the begging of both courses, I couldn´t speak fluidly and now I recognise a progress in listening and reading activities.

On the other hand, with this blog I increased my written ability and I enjoyed this part because we can relax while we write thinking in English maybe but it depends of the topic because sometimes you are not so inspired and it was a hard work. It was a funny activity to learn about what our classmates are interested in. For example: a place where their want to go, about their families and pets and plans for this vacations too.

Now I can to speak in English not so bad, so when I met with an American person I can speak with he or she and give some advices maybe, information or talk about different topics. In these moments I think that I won´t be lost and I will be able to ask and answer in English. That’s very important for me because I´m shy and insecure but now I know my abilities in the language and I fell comfortable.

I´m thinking to take the advantage CORFO course but not in 2014, maybe in 2015 for continue improving my English skills. Sometimes I will need it a lot of to travel around the world.

good and bad point of 2013 , so far...

This year has been interesting for me with a lot of good things. I accept a challenge to learn English in Tronwell during the second part of the year because I won the CORFO scholarship. Also I am in a course of CAPS and it was so difficult juggle this activities the university mi family and boyfriend. In despite of that I have had a good year.

Something good was my boyfriend´s qualifications, another is that nothing wrong happened in my family so we are happy and everything is in calm. I met a lot of beautiful people in both courses (CORFO y CAPS). This year I traveled a lot to Punta Arenas so I enjoyed my little cousin who lives there, my family and boyfriend. I have been near my grandmother and grandfather who live in Temuco and it makes me feel so happy.

On the other hand, something bad is the stress for all the responsibilities that I have had So I hope the end of the year! In three-four weeks. I´m expecting the New Year and it is not only for the parties. This year started with sasha´s die (my pet) thus I was very sad through a long time.

I hope 2014 will be an excellent year because I will start with my professional practice so that is the most important part of the career and I´m so excited. 

My achievements in 2013... well I´m not sure but I´m thinking in patience, organization of my life and enjoy it too.

tatoos

To talk about tattoos isn´t my favorite topic but I prefer that than others. I don´t like big tattoos in the skin because I think in the future of them for example when you will be older than now your skin will be different so your tattoo too. On the other hand I am agreeing with all the people who do tattoo to represent a specific time in their life or an important person for them also to represent your identity or feelings.

In my case I wouldn´t have tattoos just for my personality and fear to pain. My brother has a tattoo in his arm and I am not agreeing with that because he has the name of my mother with decorations but a friend has a lizard in her hand between thumb and index finger with color so I think that is a beautiful tattoo for her, not for me because it will be troublesome to find a job

When we look a tattoo we never ask for the reason about that, we only look a form and colors so I prefer avoid comments because I don´t know the psychological motives behind this tattoos.

I think that tattoos have been during all the history of our in New Zealand with Maoris and Easter Island here in Chile but in those cases tattoos represent different things for example a specific status in the society, for attribute magical meanings or only with ornamental function. In the last case I think that is for beautiful colors that you can put in your skin and it looks so well.
